The European Roma Rights Center seeks a Consultant on fundraising and
development, based in Budapest, Hungary.
Responsibilities include active search for funding opportunities;
communication with potential and actual donors; maintaining a
database on donor organisations; working with the ERRC senior staff and
advising on decisions in the area of development and
fundraising; implementing the organisation's fundraising strategies;
drafting applications according to the organisation's need and formal
donor requirements; collaborating with both administrative and programme
ERRC staff in developing and finalising applications; following
up with donors to the point of concluding grant contracts.
Requirements:
- Strong English writing skills with attention to detail;
- Excellent internet research skills;
- Strong administrative skills including work with budgets;
- Collegial and flexible personality enjoying work in international
teams
The following are a plus:
- Experience in fundraising
- Familiarity with EU funding for NGOs
- Familiarity with human rights and legal issues
