Top level web-pages now available in all European Community languages
Visit the recently revamped web pages of Directorate-General Employment,
Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities to read about initiatives for
tackling non-discrimination; top level web-pages dealing with policy and
legal frameworks, awareness raising campaigns, research, support
mechanisms and much more are now available in all European community
languages.
A web-page dealing with "Your rights and obligations"

recently been added to the site and translation into all European
Community languages will be made available in the coming weeks.
National non-discrimination and diversity management seminars
Between autumn 2007 and spring 2008, a series of national training
seminars were financed by the European Commission and carried out in all
EU Member States, Turkey, Norway and Iceland. 1100 participants from
NGOs and nearly 300 participants from trade unions were trained in
national non-discrimination seminars raising awareness and understanding
of national legislation and policy. More than 1000 companies and other
interested groups attended the diversity management seminars raising
awareness of the benefits companies can gain from managing diversity.
