The Latvian Council of the Baltic Sea States CBSS Presidency Secretariat
has asked me to distribute to the BUP network information and an
invitation to participate in the second Balticness Conference. The topic
is �POLITICS OF SMALL LANGUAGES IN EUROPE� and it will take place on 23
November 2007, 13:30-16:00 at the University of Helsinki. This topic is
very important for many of our member countries.

POLITICS OF SMALL LANGUAGES IN EUROPE

The seminar discusses the status of the small languages in Europe both
from the individual and institutional perspective. The seminar focuses
on language policies and the role of the small languages in the EU.
