JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Regional Coordinator for Roma Integration Program
(Based in Budapest, Prague or Bratislava)
Partners for Democratic Change (Partners) seeks a Regional Coordinator
for its USAID-funded Roma Integration Program in the Czech Republic,
Hungary and Slovakia.
Primary Goals
� Facilitate communication and coordination on Roma initiatives among
Partners Centers in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.
� Foster increased cooperation and sharing of best practices between
Partners' Centers, other national and regional Roma initiatives, and
government representatives.
� Foster strategic vision for program impact and sustainability
� Build Partners' capacity to impact regional and national Roma policy
initiatives
� Increase opportunities for Roma participation and leadership in
regional and national policy initiatives
Specific Responsibilities
� Conduct outreach and coordinate efforts with donors, governments,
other NGO initiatives and Roma networks and leaders in the region.
� Maintain regular contact with each Center to gather information on its
Roma initiatives
� Collect, disseminate and encourage replication of best practices from
Roma initiatives throughout the region
� Advance regional cooperation on Roma integration, promoting increased
cross-border information-sharing and exchanges.
The position will be based in one of Partners' national centers
(Budapest, Bratislava or Prague). Significant travel within the region
will be required.
The Regional Coordinator will work closely with PDC staff in San
Francisco and Partners Center staff in the region. The Regional
Coordinator will report directly to PDC's Director of International
Programs in San Francisco.

Job Qualifications
Required:
� At least three years' experience with Roma programs in the region
� Proficiency in spoken and written English and in the language of the
local office (Hungarian, Czech, or Slovak)
� Commitment to diversity and peaceful coexistence
� Valid passport
Preferred:
� Background in change and conflict management
� Experience with public policy initiatives
� Experience working cooperatively with other organizations, including
NGOs and government agencies
� Experience working with international organizations and the
international donor community (European Union, OSCE, UN, USAID, World
Bank, etc.)
� Organizational management skills and experience
