Europe of Rights Community College 2004
Fundamental Rights, Citizenships and Identities in Changing Societies

Deadline for Applications: 10th June 2004.
Participants' profile: aged 18-30 years.

Brief Description:
The Europe of Rights Community College will take place on September
14th-23rd 2004 at the Waldensian (Reformed) retreat and group meeting
centre Casa Cares in Reggello (Florence, Italy). 35 young Europeans will
attend this Community College event, concerning the role of fundamental
rights in societies that are rapidly transforming, still keeping in mind
the universality of human rights. Particular attention will be devoted
to crucial issues such as bioethics and technology,
homophobia/transphobia and second generation migrants. The discussion
will also deal with the role of religion in intercultural dialogue and
in the definition of "old" and "new" rights.
