INTENSIVE THREE-WEEK SUMMER PROGRAM 
MAY 31- JUNE 17, 2005

The Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law is accepting
applications through May 6, 2005 to participate in the 2005 summer
program. Following is information about program and courses. Further

INTRODUCTION 
The Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law is the only intensive,
three week program in the world to offer human rights courses in both
English and Spanish.  The next Academy will take place May 31-June 17,
2005.  Every year the Academy hosts over 25 visiting world-renowned
scholars and activists who teach courses on topics including regional
human rights approaches; the United Nations; international criminal
tribunal; economic, social and cultural rights; women�s rights;
terrorism and human rights; international humanitarian law; and much
more.  As a Graduate Certificate Program, the program is open to
lawyers, professionals in the human rights field, and law students, who
can earn up to seven credits toward their degree.  For more information
