Antwerp and Brussels hosts major youth conference

Over fifty representatives of thirteen youth organisations from across
Europe meet in Antwerp and Brussels over the Easter weekend to
participate in a European Commission funded project 'Diversity is
Richness'. 

The project draws together young politicians of regionalist and
democratic nationalist parties from across the EU, including from the
new accession countries that will join the Union in May. The focus of
the five day event is the contribution of young people to building a
rich and diverse Europe. Topics covered include language diversity,
bilingualism, and cultural diversity in the new Europe.

The event is organised and hosted by a multiregional team led by Prego -
the youth section of Flemish regionalist party, Spirit.

Nelly Maes MEP, Spirit Euro-MP, commented:

"We're delighted to welcome to Flanders more than fifty young
politicians from across Europe for what I'm sure will be a productive
and successful event. Occasions like these bring us all together and
show that in many ways it is our linguistic, cultural and national
diversity that can be the strongest force for uniting us within a
peaceful European family."
