JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: LEGAL ASSISTANT / CASE MANAGER
The European Roma Rights Center ("ERRC"), the leading human rights
organization working on behalf of Roma in Europe, seeks a Legal
Assistant / Case Manager to join its legal department. The ERRC is a
public interest law organization that defends the human rights of the
Roma (Gypsies) throughout Europe and serves as a legal resource center
for advocates working in this field. The ERRC pursues its objectives by
engaging in legal defense, research, monitoring and reporting,
education, advocacy, and grant giving. Additional information about the

The ERRC is looking for a legal administrative assistant / case manager.
Areas of responsibilities include updating and maintaining case and
grant indices, tracking court deadlines for pending cases, legal
research, maintenance of archive file for international cases involving
Roma, general assistance in administrative tasks, assisting staff
attorneys in day-to-day matters, translating documents and contracts,
interpreting.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English required. Knowledge of Hungarian, Slovak, Czech
or Romani languages is an advantage.
- Strong computer skills.
- Organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with an international, multicultural team.
