Merry Christmas!
Dear friends,
Christmas comes again... For sure, this year was not the easy one for
most of you dealing with the human and minority rights. Should we be
unhappy about it? We don't think so. We all are doing what we are
doing not because somebody obliges us, but because we believe we are
doing the right thing. We have chosen our ways ourselves, and this
morally supports us in most difficult times. And also the fact that we
all - belonging to different cultures, speaking different languages,
having different skin colors - are members of this world-wide
community, the community of human rights people. We are not "lonely
wolves", our international community of human rights activists is
getting stronger and stronger. This year - the year of 50th
anniversary of the Universal Declaration - gives good evidence for
this. Also the community of the MINELRES subscribers more than doubled
within this year. Minority rights are a kind of the frontline of the
modern human rights concept, and you are on this frontline.
Anyway, even most dedicated fighters occasionally need some rest... We
will not bother you with the MINELRES postings within the Christmas
days. The new postings will arrive in early January 1999.
Merry Christmas to all of you! We wish you peace in your families,
firm friendship, and - living in conformity with your belief and your
conscience.
We look forward to meeting you again in 1999!
Yours,
Boris and Boris
