Ethnic Studies Network Bulletin Number 18
INCORE: initiative on conflict resolution and ethnicity
Ethnic Studies Network Bulletin Number 18, August 2000
About Bulletin 18
Welcome to Issue number 18 of the Ethnic Studies Network Bulletin,
which now has a readership in excess of 1,000 people, including almost
700 individual members of the Network, as well as members of
organisations and institutions working in the field of ethnic conflict
and its resolution. All issues of the Bulletin which have been
published to date are now available on the INCORE website in PDF
format.
Along with your Bulletin, you will be receiving the fifth edition of
the Ethnic Conflict Research Digest, which has been edited by Cathy
Gormley-Heenan, an INCORE Research Officer. You may recognise Cathy's
name as she has been working on the Conflict Data Service for some
time. She has now moved on to a new project on political leadership
within INCORE - From Protagonist to Pragmatist - and will be banding
over the-reins of the Digest to Liam O'Hagan, a new member of INCORE
staff, who will be more than happy to receive comments on the Digest,
and offers to review texts, as well as suggestions for books and
articles to be reviewed. Liarn can be reached at the address at the
bottom of this page, or by email at: [email protected]
As usual, a Call for Information, which gives details of the sort of
material we like to include in each issue, accompanies this Bulletin.
Please keep us informed about forthcoming events, new organisations or
networks, publications and research projects. We are especially happy
to publish news about collaborative projects involving ESN members.
Finally, it has once again come round to the time when we announce the
date and theme of the next ESN conference. We will be sending out the
Call for Papers along with this Bulletin, and I hope to see lots of
you in Ireland again next year.
