PUBLICATION - 1996 CIS Migration Report, Int'l Organization for Migration
The first issue of the CIS Migration Report, providing a comprehensive
overview of migration trends and patterns in the countries of the CIS, has
been released by International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The 12 country chapters contain a complete, accurate and up-to-date picture
of migration flows in the 1989-1996 period, as well as of legislative and
institutional developments, governmental policies and practices, and the
work of international and non-governmental organizations in the migration
field. The report features over 80 tables of migration stocks and flows
drawn from carefully checked sources.
Based on contributions by the leading migration specialists of the CIS
countries, the CIS Migration Report aims to serve as a reference material
for scholars and practitioners working or interested in the region.
