100 Gypsies Deported
Over 100 gypsies -- about a dozen families -- have been forcibly
deported from Krasnodar City to Voronezh region. This serious breach
of the Constitution was justified by the fact that the gypsies had
their residence registration in Voronezh, in addition to being accused
of drug trafficking in Krasnodar City, although the local police even
brought a single drug trafficking charge against them.
Apparently this is the local interpretation of a new migration policy
announced by President Putin.
