New report: War Prevention Works

I am writing to let you know about a new report that I have just
written for a UK based non governmental organisation called the Oxford
Research Group. Entitled 'War Prevention Works' it illustrates how
ordinary people have helped prevent, contain or resolve violent
conflicts, without the use of force. I have made every effort to keep
the stories clear, concise and non academic so that they appeal to a
broad audience, from students and activists to conflict specialists
and foreign policy decision makers alike.

The aim of 'War Prevention Works' is to raise awareness of the breadth
and depth of work being carried out on the 'front line' of conflict by
ordinary citizens, church groups, NGOs and others, with a view to
building greater support for increased funding in this area.

You can find more information about the report (including a full list
of the organisations and initiatives profiled as well as a sample case
study) on our website: http://www.oxfordresearchgroup.org.uk

Lastly, we do hope that 'War Prevention Works' will be the first in a
series, so if you know of any inspiring tories which merit inclusion
in the next edition, please do let me know!
