Conference on Crimean Karaites

Dear colleagues,

We thank you for contacting us concerning the Minorities issues. Our group
is engaged in preparing the conference on preserving the dying small
indigenous  folk of the Crimean Karaites. In this concern we are very much
interested in contacting the organizations, foundations and individualds
which have experience in solving similar problems and have dealt with
minorities and indigenous peoples issues. The conference on this problem
touches the interests of the four  following states: Ukraine, Russia,
Lithuania and Poland as there are communities of the Crimean Karaites on the
territory of these states. The conference is planned to be conducted jointly
with the governmental organizations in November 1997. We are looking forward
to hearing your comments and opinions.
