ECMI Vacancies


The European Centre for Minority Issues in Flensburg, Germany
(http://www.ecmi.de) will shortly be appointing a research associate,
initially for one year, with a possibility of exension for a total
period of three years. While the selection process is well advanced,
the Centre might still consider well-qualified candidates with
regional expertise in Eastern Europe or the Balkans, matched by
subject expertise in the areas of conflict management, inter-ethnic or
minority rights. The post pays DM 5.500,- gross the first year,
increasing to DM 6000,-.

The Centre is also appointing 'summer' research associates all year
round. These associates will generally spend three or more months at
the Centre, participating in some of its projects. The Centre pays one
round trip ticket, a monthly stipend of DM 1000,- and arranges for a
place in a shared apartment. For more junior researchers, there are a
few unpaid internship positions.

Finally, the Centre remains pleased to entertain applications from
practitioners in government and international organizations for
Visiting Fellowships.
