Conference "Culture of Non-Violence Is the Future of
Humanity"


1. Scientific and practical conference will be held during September
27-30, 1999 at the Academy for Upgrading Professional Standards and
Retraining of Educators, Moscow, Russia.
 
The intention of the conference is to attract Russian and
international public, pedagogues, media's attention to some problems
of the culture of non-violence in space of childhood on the threshold
of the 21st century
 
The scientific program of the Conference will include speeches of
known scientists in the sphere of humanitarian education, pedagogy and
psychology of non-violence, upbringing, law.
 
2. The scientific program of the Conference will be distributed
between plenary lectures, sectional works, round-table discussions,
outdoor studies, social events.
 
3. PROGRAM TOPICS
1. Problems of humanitarian education on the threshold of the 21st
century
2. Culture of peace and human rights
3. Psychology and pedagogy of non-violence in theory and practice.
Non-violence in pedagogy, psychology, philosophy, religion
4. Problems of the culture of non-violence in political, legal,
economic, spiritual, public and human spheres of social sciences.
5. Culture of peace and questions of politics and law.
6. Pedagogue in space of childhood: problems of non-violence.
7. Values and purposes of teaching activities
8. Perspectives of non-violence and forms of work with children.
9. Integration of children of different social, national and different
age groups.
10. Diagnostics of non-violent interaction.
11. Realisation of non-violent ideas (Organisation of new practice).
 
4. LANGUAGE
The official language is Russian and English.
 
5. EXHIBITION
An exhibition of literature about problems of non-violence will be
organised
 
6. A number of social events, excursions arc planned.
 
7. ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation will be arranged in the hotel of the Academy.
Organisational dues are $300 (included registration, meal,
accommodation and participation in the conference)
