Dear MINELRES subscribers,

I have read the postings concerning the Greek Helsinki Monitor report
on Bulgarians in Macedonia with great interest - all of them, including
the publication in "Dnevnik" and the suggesstions of Dr. Christian
Wellmann and Dr. Laszlo Kurti to think twice before distributing similar
comments.

To my opinion, it is very important to let the subsribers hear the
viewpoints of  the parties directly involved in the subjects of our
discussions, even though the reactions might not be given in a
scholarly manner. It is necessary to acquaint the subscribers with
the official positions and local media commentaries, if such
commentaries appear in response to MINELRES postings. Without
that, it is very difficult to fully understand the nature of the problems
addressed.

I am sure that postings such as the "Dnevnik" publication will only
encourage a constructive scholarly debate on the issue.
