Hi, this message on the Prague Jewish cemetery is based on
misinformation. It has circulated to various lists, but it does not
concern the old Jewish cemetery in the old town of Prague, but rather
some property that had had a Jewish cemetery BEFORE the famous old
one, and which had not been used for hundreds of years. In any case,
the company involved is doing its best to save what had been there
many centuries ago. I have seen various letters from Czech government
officials saying that they consider the famous cemetery a national
treasure, etc. and noone is touching it. (I have a copy of a very long
message about this if anyone wants to see it, I can forward it.)
