Call for data on Roma


DEAR ALL,
 
We are preparing a report on the official social cultural policy
concerning Roma in the national states of Central, Eastern and
South-Eastern Europe, after 1989. The aim of the report is to
reconstruct the different official discourses related to social and
political recognition (nonrecognition, assimilation, discrimination
etc.) of Roma as minority group in Czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary,
Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.
 
In order to gather the data we need:
 
a. to know which are the state institutions involved in the politics
of recognition (nonrecognition, assimilation, discrimination etc.)
concerning Roma as minority group
 
b. to obtain copies of the documents produced by these institutions
concerning the politics of recognition (nonrecognition, assimilation,
discrimination etc.) of the Roma as minority group.
 
c. to get information on the responses that these policies received
from Roma groups.
 
We would be grateful if you would be so kind to let us know which are
the state institutions in above mentioned countries that deal with
Roma, documents that we should know about, as well as suggest to us
other contacts and other ways to collect data.
