No. 168/2002 (168/2002) of 21 February 2002)

In order to enhance the role of public organisations of national minorities of Ukraine in the process of state authorities' decision making in respect of the development of the ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious uniqueness of national minorities of Ukraine, to strengthen democratic principles of the Ukrainian society and to ensure the interethnic harmony in Ukraine, I DECREE hereby as follows:

1. A Council of Representatives of National Minority Public Organisations of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the 'Council') shall be set up under the President of Ukraine as an advisory body.

2. Illia Mykhailovych LEVITAS shall be appointed the Chairman of the Council. (Article 2 with changes introduced under Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 168/2002 (168/2002) of 21 February 2002).

3. The attached membership of the Council shall be approved.

The Council Chairman shall be allowed to make changes in the Council membership, if necessary.

4. Mr. V. Yevtukh, Council Chairman, shall submit a draft Charter of the Council of Representatives of National Minority Public Organisations of Ukraine within one month.
